Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

We have been busy moving to West Texas and hunting and I have not had a chance to take any pictures... but soon I hope to have some up of our 2009 hunting season!

Angel (Copper and Kylie's puppy from their 1st litter) is turning out to be great in the field, she loves some pheasant!!! Copper and Kylie are not to be out done by the little girl and are still proving to be great bird dogs as well!

Dove Season Part 3

Well..... um..... I have not taken any pictures of Copper! I know this is bad, but I have not been out with him once and no one thinks to take his picture but me I guess. So I hope in the next few days I can get some of poor Copper Top. Sorry boy.

Dove Season Part 2

Kylie could not wait for this day to come! She has got to be the most excited dog when it comes to hunting. This year I have not taken many hunting pictures, sorry. I have been told to shoot with the gun not the camera so this is all I have of Kylie.

Dove season '09 Part 1

Another Dove Season is here! This year we have 3 dogs to work and here is Angel on 1st hunt ever! Angel did well but she really didn't like the dove feathers at 1st. I think she liked the quail that we worked her on much better! She still had a good hunt even thought this morning was a miss. Some days are good and others are not, that's why they call it hunting.



I like to think she is looking for birds here but I am sure she is wanting to run to the pond that's not in this picture.

I shot a bird and here Angel is trying to retrieve it. Those darn feathers!

but in the end the bird is fetched and all is good! Yea!!!

Here is what Angel fetched up on this morning. Not great but for her 1st hunt it was the best!

Angel is still doing well and is just getting better with every day! Now we just can't wait for quail and pheasant to start. :)

Not all play...

They love the water so not only do they play but they get to work!!

The Pond...

This is the only way to go! We took the dogs to a friends pond and let them go. It was a cool way to get through the 100 degree plus days this summer here in Texas.

Oh my sweet Angel! Working with her is a walk through the park. Her are some pictures of her on point and next time I will try to make sure I get some of her retrieving the dummy also.

The Rope Toy...

The one toy that they all want to play with is Copper's rope. This is his security blanket so to speak. Copper will leave it outside so no one can play with it. He even remembers days later where its at, just tell him where your toy and hes gone. Here in this post you can see the ways the girl pups try to get it from him. Enjoy :)

Puppy # 3...

** SOLD**Puppy # 3 - Ziggy. Ziggy is a very pretty marked pup. Loves to play and is also showing good signs of being a good bird dog. Ziggy is also super sweet and will make a great family dog as well!

Puppy # 2...

This is Angel - pup #2. She loves pointing! She reminds us of our female Kylie and if she follows in her foot steps she will be a very intense hunting dog. Angel loves to cuddle and has that poor me look but don't be fooled! She loves to play and loves her dummy. We call her Angel because she has angle wings.
